Sabah, Borneo February, 2024

As part of a 3 week residency in collaboration with art collective Pangrok Sulap we worked with a range of communities from across Sabah, Borneo.

From rural indigenous farming communities to marginalised urban communities who were undocumented or stateless, we delivered a series of workshops in papercutting, shadow play and printmaking. The workshops involved community visits and storytelling exercises to help inform a final series of  large scale paper works that told of the daily lives, challenges and experiences of communities in Sabah.
